The legislation addressing the withdrawal of the United States from the TPP (Trans-Pacific Partnership is of paramount concern and interest to me because I am an entrepreneur in manufacturing and logistics. This issue directly affects my business and my employees who have been employed in these businesses. 

I am primarily concerned about the welfare of my employees above any other issue, and this is because this policy for the withdrawal of the TPP will mean that our international business ties will have to be severed (Kim, 2017). This will lead to an enormous lay off on our businesses, and the loss of jobs would affect the economy. Other aspects of this same issue that affects my business are the availability of raw materials, which is needed in the manufacture of our products that include a range of products (Arvis, 2016).

This issue is of the utmost importance to my peers and me and to all the people who are employed in this line of business (Arvis, 2016). There are thousands of businesses and millions of jobs that will be affected by this legislation. This will also contribute to a logistical nightmare when it concerns the transportation of goods across continents. The downside of this action by the government will prove to be of very dire consequences to the persons who are reliant on multilateral trade. 

The loss of jobs in the logistics sector will be felt due to the withdrawal of the country from some of the critical multilateral trade agreements such as the TPP (Kim, 2017). Despite having its benefits, the removal of the USA from this agreement will impact majorly on the people who are employed in these companies. The legislation that is made should be able to cater to the best interests of the economy of the country to foster development and progress in the sub-sector and ultimately, the whole sector.

Moreover, logistics companies will be forced to use longer routes to transport their goods. This could prove to be tedious and expensive and also at times, dangerous due to weather conditions and hostility from bandits in some areas (Arvis, 2016). This may cause a lot of problems for the company and also the business owners who want their goods to be shipped and transported to foreign countries (Arvis, 2016). It is vital that the trade relations remain intact since that relationship is what creates the political ties and creates integration between states and actors. 

Despite reading some of the reports that have stated your position on this matter in the media and other sources, it is my knowledge that they may not fully represent your viewpoint. Therefore, I will look forward to your reply expressing your views and opinions on your current stance on this issue. As a Senator, and being in the U.S. Trade Representative, you are better placed to understand the plight that is about to face this significant sector and also the economy of the country. 

I also want to thank you for your consideration of my point of view on this matter. I kindly believe that is a contentious issue, and I would desire to see the legislation amended to ensure effective services for the people involved. This will inevitably assist future leaders in making decisions that are important to the people affected and the actors involved.
