October 22nd,1962Kennedy announces on television about the Cuban Crisis and the United States forces are asked to move to the Global Defense Condition (DEFCON) 3.
October 23rd, 1962Kennedy receives a letter from Khrushchev in which he states that the situation in Cuba is a threat to the harmony and security of the people.
October 24th, 1962Soviet ships heading to Cuba change their course except for one. The U.S military relocates to DEFCON 2.
October 25th, 1962John Kennedy writes to Khrushchev accusing the Soviet Union of responsibility for the Cuban Crisis.
October 26th, 1962 John Kennedy receives a letter from Khrushchev, promising to remove his missiles from Cuba on condition that Kennedy publicly promises to never attack Cuba.
October 27th, 1962Major Anderson Rudolf, a pilot is shot and killed in Cuba A United States aircraft is intercepted near Alaska by the Soviet Union militia. John Kennedy writes Khrushchev a letter promising not to attack Cuba on condition that Khrushchev withdraws the missiles.
October 28th, 1962Khrushchev makes an announcement agreeing to withdraw missiles from Cuba while the U.S. agrees to withdraw its missiles from Turkey, ending the Cuban missile crisis.
