THOUGHT PROCESS

The thought process involves the use of an individual’s mind to contemplate ideas
carefully (Johnsen, 2016). It provides answers that are of significance in achieving determined
improvement. The process of reflection allows one to gain cognition which is the process of
attaining knowledge and understanding (Nosich, 2012). The process encompasses mental
activities that result in a particular decision. Below is an outline of the thought process.
Need recognition
Need identification serves as the first step in the thinking process. To determine the type
of restaurant and kitchen equipment to buy, I must recognize the need for the equipment. This
stage allows an individual to understand the role of the material. For instance, if I intend to
purchase a cooker the role of the item must have been realized before thinking of whatever type
to buy.
Analyzing purpose of equipment
After identifying the need for the equipment, the next step would be to determine the
purpose all material serves. This thought would be guided on the intended lifespan of the items
required for the restaurant and kitchen. Making a decision on the type of electronic equipment
needed would be highly informed by the active operational period. For example, while
determining the type of fridge to buy for a preservation of perishable food products, I would
think of the type that suits the purpose of protection in bulk quantities. This step also allows me
to empathize with the people who will be working with the said equipment through
understanding their experiences.

THOUGHT PROCESS
Ideate
This stage allows an individual to examine possible solutions available. Through ideation
I would be able to explore the performance of the various range of equipment and available
alternatives, thus, make an informed decision on the type of items needed for the restaurant and
the kitchen.
Select and prototype
This would be the last step in my thought process, and it involves identifying the
particular type of equipment for both facilities and actualizing the ideas physically to interact and
learn more about the equipment through the first-hand experience.
