During my former employment, my employer was using internal control of employees where personnel were responsible for their work. This was a way of allowing motivated groups and individuals to exercise self-discipline to fulfill their job expectations. This type of control system is consistent with many progressive developments. He also used employee performance appraisal as a control system in his organization. It provided employees with recognition of their efforts at work. It also offered an excellent opportunity for the subordinate and the supervisor in agreeing and recognizing on individual developmental and training needs. Performance appraisal makes training to be more relevant and pressing and links it to career aspiration. He used performance appraisal effectively not only in eliminating work-quality problems and behavior but it motivated employees to perform more and better. His believe was that celebrating a well-done job is the easy and best part of performance appraisal. It is also a diplomatically best time that highlights areas requiring improvement. It also helps in resolving problems that are produced by lack of or inadequate communication.

I like your discussion on control system in your previous working environment. Tracking a company’s revenue is not only about what one purchase but one that improves finances, making the purchasing habits to be better effectual. It’s so easy to identify items that bring in revenue and those that consume it. Documentation is the best way of storing and preserving information for future tracking. According to your second control system, how can you as a manager improve employee reviews?

E time which is a time keeping program is a beneficial control system for any company. I like your explanation on how it performs and eases the payroll processes. In my understanding, this type of program saves time and resources on paper work as mere organizing, sorting and processing of paper work is time consuming. It also helps in creation of central database that is easily assessed by everyone in the company, easing the calculation of the payroll through the system due to its standardization. What are some of disadvantages of relying on outdated and time consuming time tracking methods?
