What behavior guidelines are would be different for a Scrum Team versus a regular project team?
Scrum teams are self-organizing teams and they are empowered to decide what work they execute and how they will accomplish it. They also have some flexibility in allocating or distributing work. Traditional project teams are confined to following project manager’s guidelines. Project manager assigns tasks to project members in traditional approach and also influences the way the work should be executed. The other key difference is that scrum teams are considered generalized specialists, meaning that members can fill up for each other and they are cross-trained. Which is not the case with traditional project teams, where tasks are sometimes delayed due to the unavailability of project members.
·         How does getting work accomplished in a Scrum team different from a traditional project team?
Scrum teams deliver work in iterations, generally in sprints of 2 to 3 weeks. Traditional project teams might deliver towards the end of the project or sometimes in phases. Developers and testers work together from the beginning of the project and testing happens in each sprint. This helps the scrum team to be proactive with detecting issues and delivering a quality work. Traditional team is reactive to issues in accomplishing the work. Testing happens only at the end.
