       Virginity, Pledges-Religion, Sexuality and Sexual Deviance is a fascinating article. The article delves into youth sexuality and presents to us laid out truths that church, parents and organisations would rather bury their heads in the sand about. What piqued my mind in the article is how teen sexuality has become an out of hand issue considering the number of programs that have been created to deal with the issue. Personally it is a grey area for me since there are several ways in which the youth engage in to explore their sexuality.

         My favourite thing in this article is the way what counts as sex, virginity and abstinence depends on various interpretations. This concept is very accurate as there are contradicting explanations from our parents, peers and sex educationists. Most young people are left confused as to what is acceptable and what is not. 

       I have learnt the concept of positive Deviance and I agree that is it associated with the negative sense as standing out from the others as a teen attracts a negative perception. I do try to stand out by not engaging in sexual activities and I get very mean words from my friends. I have also lost many friends due to outstanding position. 

        This article highlights all the issues on youth and sexuality and it is very educative as it gives different perspectives on the issue, there is nothing I would disagree with.

        I would like to know more about how a young person can control addiction to masturbation. I would like the article to further explain how to minimize the addiction.
