Wages and Taxes

Liberals are a group of people who are so much concerned about any inequality in a nation. They consider that all people should be given room to prosper in the social, economic and political fields. Liberals oppose inequality as they believe that all people are equal and thus all people should have the same rights, privileges, and abilities. However, even when they are opposed to inequality, liberals believe that they are some inequalities that can be put in place which are just. The inequalities that liberals believe that are just are only those that can be called affirmative actions to restore equality in a nation. They think that reducing the privileges that are enjoyed by those who are favored in a way can be a better way to create equality among those that are in the higher echelons and those that are in the lower echelons. 

The main concentration of liberals and where they acknowledge that creating a slight inequality would be just is in the economic field. Liberals believe that it would be of beneficence, for instance, to tax the rich people and not tax the poor people. Their main claim is that the rich people already have enough and taxing them would help in uplifting the lives of the poor. The poor on the other hand should not be taxed as they are also not able to cater for all their needs. Such a proposition is a basis of inequality as everybody needs to pay taxes. At the same time nonetheless, liberals believe that the taxation of the rich should be moderated so that it does not hurt them as much. Liberals thus believe that creating an inequality to balance all members of the society is justified.
