Watching Horror Movies

Although many people have negative perceptions towards horrific graphics and films about dreadful incidences, in my personal view, there are many reasons to prove the need of watching horror films. Similar to Lamiya Siraj the author of the article, The Horror of Horror Movies, it is clear that children should be exposed to dreadful movies at their tender age. In particular, the aspect of Siraj viewing the above horror films provides him with the capability of countering challenging issues courageously (Winter 153).

As it is seen in the above picture most people become scared while watching outrageous movies. However, I think individuals should form a habit of viewing revulsion videos in order to fight back fear and be entertained in a special way. 

In matters concerning ethos, in my opinion the article by Siraj being confidential since he has written things concerning his personal experience about horror films. To be specific, this author narrates the way he developed an attachment with horrific films despite many individuals surrounding him having negative attitudes towards such clips. In the entire article, Siraj uses statements linking with emotions of the audience, hence, an indicating that he does not intend to praise himself, but he instead aims at changing readers’ views toward the horror movies. For instance, he clarifies that he does not watch the dreadful videos to prove he is not afraid (Winter 154). In relation to the above information, in my personal view Siraj he wants the audience to re-establish normality feeling about shocking films so as to enjoy watching them. 

Moreover, in my own view it is  clear that the producers of horror movies use pathos to amuse the audience as well as creating excitement rather than scaring them. Similar to Siraj’s argument, it occurs that disgusting videos plays a role of reminding the viewers about the pleasure as well as the fear experienced while riding a rollercoaster. According to Siraj, the dreadful videos can be compared with the situation where the roller coaster makes scandalous twists. As a matter of fact, the involvement in terrible things is vital since it subjects readers to fearful incidences, hence, helping them to create awareness about unfortunate incidences (Winter 159). Essentially, the individuals who watch such films are able to tolerate shocks and frightening things in an efficient and effective manner. 

I think that Siraj has a great attachment to horror films since they have different combinations of logos.  To illustrate, many producers dealing with scaring movies use logos as a method of analyzing people’s urge to witness violence incidences. In connection with the above information, it occurs that Siraj does not want to quote any scientific studies. However, he instead opts to give personal ideas, opinions, and experiences concerning horrific films. In clarity, this author references the strange behaviors and real fears individuals have towards videos with shocking images (Winter 157). However, Siraj is trying to prove himself as a champion because of watching things that frighten other people.  

Furthermore, I think that there are various horrific movies portraying women’s power during the encounter with nature as well as their opposite gender in the community. To illustrate, some ladies acting in horror movies are mostly involved in dreadful fights and they are able to inflict serious injuries to their opponents (Winter 162). Similarly, women taking part in the above films are capable of protecting their children. Moreover, these ladies have shown the power of safeguarding their properties during natural catastrophes and during the conflicting incidences (Winter 166). On the other hand, researchers indicate that the producers of horrific movies aim at morally encouraging an underprivileged gender to act against individuals or entities that disrespect their rights. 

As a matter of fact, there is confidential information showing that horror stories, movies, and pictures are part of real life. To illustrate, I hold that the scaring things are meant to educate the audience about unfortunate incidences such as kidnapping, robberies, and attacks as well as various terrible circumstances that happen in the entire world (Winter 165). According to Siraj, the dreadful films help people to create awareness about the incidences that might occur if someone is abducted. In relation to the above information, it is clear that the individuals who produce such frightening films focus on offering a vivid description of things that happen in real life (Winter 154). By considering the above information, my view is that horror films are sources of entertainment with horrific themes. 

To conclude, similar to the article by Siraj, I believe that horror films are significant since they remind the audience about their humanity. In the view of dreadful films, there are no small or big things since these forms of movies create a platform where people can express their ideas in an entertaining and educative manner. For instance, I realize that things such as family bonds, romance and grief can be exaggerated to create a horrifying incidence, hence, easing the process of understanding a given film. Despite people being scared by horror videos, I hold that cruel and brutal films are essential for helping people to tolerate difficulty and challenging situations.
