(1) Asteraceae

You might be wondering why we are looking at only one plant family this week, and if you are thinking of all of the following:

(a) because 16% of the weed problems are caused by a weed species from the Asteraceae family;

(b) because 32 out of 138 weed species considered the world’s worst weeds are in this family; and

(c) because they are so important that we need to dedicate a whole week to talk about them,
