What’s Happening To Our World? The Old Order Is Collapsing

here are a lot of terrible things currently happening in the world. The universe is full of divisive politics, dangerous rhetoric from world leaders, natural disasters like forest fires and hurricanes, rumors of war, tribal hatred, global warming and a ton of other crises. One may think that the world is almost coming to an end with all this madness. In the middle of the confusion, there are a few souls who are concerned about the current state of the world. There are people who try to think of the good, and what is best for the human race. Ernie Hasler attempts to make the reader know why some things are happening, and how one can best handle the outcome. 

With scriptures from the bible, Ernie Hasler helps the reader understand the cause of some calamities and God’s final position. The author uses nations and events in the bible, and compares them to the current world and real-life events. When reading through the book, one could see why it was necessary that such a book be written. Ernie Hasler is exemplary.

Brexit is perhaps one of the biggest political shake-ups in recent history. On Brexit and the position of Britain in global politics, the author had the following to say “The disastrous Brexit negations are going to suddenly drop Britain to the second division in world power and wealth and such is our nearly two trillion pounds international debt, we will be bankrupt, and our poorest people could end up eating grass.” Something to deeply think about, right? America’s role as a superpower and Donald Trump’s isolation policies were also mentioned in the book. I enjoyed reading about Israel and the Arab world.

The author‘s prudence was displayed throughout the chapters. From the text in the book, one can conclude that he is not only observant, but also logical. His opinions are based on facts and the study of history. Every chapter discussed in the book made sense and had me ponder about life and the role of superpowers.  Spirituality is a beautiful thing. The author did not fail to include Bible verse in his explanations. One chapter that I so much loved was Leviticus 26.

I can’t forget to talk about the images in the book. The black and white pictures feel so real, that one can write an entire chapter about each one of them. The author added images of drought, citizens’ cries, forest fires, floods, and other calamities, perhaps to remind the reader of how things really are on the ground. The images are so clear and depict just what the world is going through. I reckon this is one of the reasons why the book’s title; “What’s Happening To Our World?” was such an apt title for this publication.

Reading this book made me understand why religion is so important in man’s life. Looking at how things are, it’s only God who can save the universe. Humans seem to have given up on themselves, yet the word of God is there for guidance.  “Happening To Our World? The Old Order Is Collapsing” is enlightening and informative. It deserves a 4/5 rating.
